Keynote Presentations and Seminars

BEC’S PRESENTATION BACKGROUND

Bec began presenting professionally at the tender age of 18 to community groups and schools while working with the WA Aids Council. She combined her training in addiction studies with her continued passion for facilitation when she obtained the role of Counsellor/Educator, with the North Metro Community Drug Service Team. It was here she honed her skills and delivered to a range of audiences including the police, child protection, community groups, and schools; lecturing and running workshops on understanding and dealing with people who have drug or alcohol problems.

Following on from this she changed roles and combined her love of clinical work with learning and development; this time in the field of mental health. She provided consultancy and facilitation services to general practitioners and ran workshops to educate them on the needs of patients who were suicidal or self-harming.

It was after this experience that Bec recognised the depth of her knowledge and began to seriously consider how she could share it with a wider audience Then came her career in consulting where she held a variety of roles across Australia and gained significant exposure to a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, health, finance, government and not-for profits; among others.

It was clear after these years that mining and the impact her work could have on safety, productivity and performance was her passion. She was employed by Downer in their Mining Division for several years and with her final role with the group as Learning and Development for their merged Mining Energy and Industrial Services Division.

Her passion for presenting and facilitating remains strong, and since founding her company, On Sixth, she has continued to deliver keynotes, seminars, and panel discussions across various industries.
